Rescue Pod Pty Ltd has designed and built, a globally transportable NPIR (Negative Pressure Isolation Room) in an adapted standard shipping container which we have called a RiPOD ( Rescue Isolation Pod). The RiPOD is designed and tested to Local and International ICU Guidelines.

Rescue Pod Pty Ltd has joined with Nepean Engineering & Innovation who will manufacture the RiPOD, and Zoll Medical who will equip each RiPOD with medical equipment specified by the customer. It can be designed for a variety of uses; accommodation of one patient suffering from an infectious disease, laboratory testing facility, autopsy room or any other purpose that requires a Negative Pressure Room for the containment of infectious pathogens. It can also be used at Mine sites or in remote areas, aged care facilities, for COVID-19 outbreaks, hospital overflow and more.

RiPOD enables existing hospitals, medical centres or private entities to add a relocatable AIIR or ICU rooms to there war chest in the fight against Covid-19, without the dangers of cross contaminating their existing facilities. RiPODs can be deployed in a number configurations, from a stand alone unit, or as an attachment to an existing building to a complete field hospital using Rescue Pods Field Hospital System which uses a combination of converted shipping containers linked together by two forty foot converted shipping containers.
